Time flies but i'm still here (me n my pets)

They are so small and innocent when i brought them home, but now i couldn't believe my eyes on how much they've changed. This little kids still as small as i remembered, but i noticed something different when they grown up. 

This is my first duo i got after several weeks dreaming to adopt them. To be honest i'm not a kind of person that like to talk and call pets with their name, it just sound weird talking to a pet but they can't talk to me back. Nevertheless, i still gave name to them just to make sure they don't feel sad (^_^).

On the left is Kass (boar) and Akai (sow). Boar is a term for male and sow is female for guinea pig. Both are peruvian breed which has a long, forward hair.

Now their age are over 8 months and their hair start growing longer from day to day. Akai (top) and Kass (below). The most troublesome part in having a long hair breed is they need regular grooming, but i usually groom them after their bath.

In the following weeks, i adopt three little bunnies since i can't resist their cuteness. At first i thought ..."i just wanna buy a pair, better than single so they can cuddle with each other.." At last i couldn't make up my mind an ended buying those three bunnies.

Her name is Shiro. Sadly she died 2 weeks after i brought her home due to serious diarrhea.

This active buck named Kuro is Netherland Dwarf breed. I just lost him 2 day before Raya. The reason of the death is because heart attack...seriously....i don't believe it either...damn

This is Hai (doe), mix breed between angora and teddy bear. She's the one that still accompany me and hopefully she will have a long and healthy life.

She's grown into a fine looking bunny.

Rabbits Everywhere

Being a rabbit owner is not always a happy moment. 

This is a brief history of my rabbit (that I had and still own it)

Her name is Aoi (means blue) because of her beautiful blue eyes. She is my 1st rabbit I bought while studying in the university. She died because of pneumonia (snuffle). 

Breed: Mix Angora

This is the second rabbit I bought to accompany Aoi. His name is Sora which means sky. He's lucky because Aoi's disease didn't affect him although they're kept together in a cage.

Breed: Mix Lion Lop

No name. She die because of diarrhea at the age of less than 8 weeks. It's a heartbreaking because I only kept her less than 2 weeks after I bought her at the pet shop. 

Breed: Woody Toy

My sister give her name Mimi. I love her so much but for some reason I'd find a new owner to take care of her for some time. Soon I will take her back :)

Latest news, the new owner said she had give birth to 3 cute babies. 

The bad news is all 3 had died :(

Breed: Teddy bear (but I believe she's Lion Head)

No name. He is responsible for Mimi's pregnancies. Give to the new owner.

Breed: Teddy bear (But I believe he's angora)

Her name is Pinky. This is the easiest rabbit to care that I had ever own. She accompany me while I'm alone in Langkawi :)

Breed: Hmmm......toy rabbit.....probably...

Langkawi Trip with Bunny and Friends

I just went back from langkawi trip yesterday. Actually it's not really a trip, but rather following my dad meeting in langkawi. For most people it may sound great and enjoyable moment being in the island, but for me it's nothing except boring being alone without friends to chat with. 

A little facts about Langkawi for those who never heard of it. Langkawi Island is an internationally recognized tourist destination. The government of Malaysia has declared the entire Langkawi Island as a duty free zone. Hence this island is also termed Duty Free Island. All goods sold in this island are exempted from government tax. That's the reason why many local and foreign tourists came to Langkawi as it's a haven for the shoppers.

I came to langkawi for 2 reasons-buy chocolate and travel.

and Tiger. They've accompanied me going to wildlife park- a place with a variety species of birds and animals.

A grey crested fowl, if I'm not mistaken.

Various glimmering color of koi swimming elegantly in the pond. I'm stuck with this beautiful creatures for almost 15 minutes :)

Looks like bunny's interested to swim in the pool. The pool is at my chest level, not too deep for people who don't know to swim. Unfortunately bunny can't swim, she's too small :)

Rabbit Care for All

Not all people use to keep a rabbit as a pet. Some people see a rabbit as a delicious food, a cute animal, a hard to care,  or a shy and boring creature. It's nothing wrong with that assumption, instead it's true! 

 

This rabbit is peeerrrrfect for the meat!

They see a rabbit as a food when someone said rabbit meat is nutritious and tasty. A breed such as Florida White can be a successful breed for meet production. Some information about rabbit meat:

1. Cholesterol level in rabbit meat is much more lower compare to turkey, chicken, beef and pork.

2. Percentage of fat in rabbit is lower compare to turkey, beef, chicken and pork.

3. Rabbit is highest in protein %.

4.Rabbit meat is all white meat.

5. Rabbit meat can cure asthma disease.

Rabbit as a cute animal? Most people keep bunny because she is cute rather than establish a long  term relationship with her.

 

Some people who have owned bunny said that rabbit is hard to care compare to dog and cat. This can be either true or wrong. 

True when the owner has a little information about bunny. Wrong when the owner has the passion to keep rabbits, learn about them and understand their behavior. in other word, don't ever compare bunny with a cat and dog! 

Cat and dog are predator and they're born to win your heart. It's because they need you to feed and to play with them. They have their own way to attract you and it's one of their special ability as a predator animal that make them as a good pet.

Rabbit is totally different. Rabbits are prey animals, and they've fear natural instinct that protect her in the wild.
 You must win your rabbit's heart, rather than wait your rabbit to win your heart. Once you've gain her trust and love, she will bond very strongly with you.

Rabbit is naturally shy and quiet creature. People that think bunny is such a boring animal may not know her true color. This type of people only keep a rabbit in the cage all the time, rather than let her roam freely in the house with other pet. Once taken the bunny indoor, you'll surprisingly amazed on how playful of bunny can be. Of course with step by step lesson to get the bunny familiar with your house and to teach her behave properly.

Keep a bunny in the cage everyday will make him sad.

The more I write about bunny the more lonely I felt. Why?? Bunny is the only companion for me, the only creature that share the same personality with me. Since I got into apartment it was hard to keep a bunny here plus living with family that don't really like to watch a hairy yet fluffy + cute bunny roaming around freely in the house. Thus I asked one of my friends to keep her for a while till my house done with the renovation.

This is my first bunny, Aoi (japanese word) which means blue as she got a really beautiful blue eyes. I bought her when I still in university. Sadly I just lost her due to some kind of disease called pneumonia. She is still in my heart, no matter how cute other bunny would be, I just can forget her. R.I.P. Aoi.

If you notice why I choose my blog address and my nickname as bettasplenden or betta, then this is the main reason. Long ago I'm very crazy about this fancy fighting fish, or by scientific name called betta splenden. Since I was a child, this fish got into my attention. As the time pass, so do this fish which develop in variety of breed and colors. Then, it's still attract me to keep this fish while studying in university and I stop keeping this colorful fish after I fell in love with rabbit.

These fish really caught my eyes, I can't even study if the fish is placed on my table. By watching this fish it could get me into hours of doing nothing!

Meet my mentor, Cikgu Halijah. Although she's in the late 40's she still maintain cute. hehehe, well she was my mentor when I was in Kolej MARA Kulim, four years ago. This picture was taken during my visit after a year entering university. Nothing special ok!

Guess what is this? My picture with my siblings a long, long time ago. Nothing can match the cuteness of all five kids, especially a cute little boy in the middle (it was me!)(^_^). Ok just kidding,....... but it is the truth....super cute.......i don't lie.

Cute or Not Cute?

All animals are born with cute looking and cute behavouring. The smaller means the cuter it looks like. As it grow bigger and older, it may become less cute (most people do like a cute little animal and throw it away as it become older) and may be burden the owner by its hot stuff (feces, urine).

Unfortunately, there are thousand of homeless pet being abandon by their previous owner happen everyday around the world. This abandon pet are subjected to various danger either by predator, disease or human made (vehicle, poison etc.) It is very sad to see these unlucky pet end up searching a food at garbage, fish market and food stall where some of them might end up dying at the corner of the street (mostly a little kitten that was unable to search for food).

My advise for pet owner, treat your pet fair enough whether they are cute or not. If u don't have a choice to leave them with or without a concrete reasons, find a new owner that love pet or just take your pet to the pet adoption center.Don't just throw it to the market or food stall hoping other people will feel pity and give some food to them. It is very CRUEL!

And for a new owner think to find a pet, feel free to look at the local pet adoption center before buying a new one.

For me, I just love all animals, but I prefer keeping a bunny rather than any popular pet for a few reasons. In the next post I will give a guide on how to find a good and healthy bunny before you adopt or purchase it!

well i was told that he was the same breed as my doe, but it looks a little different.

she should be happy by now, after being alone for.........5 months.

Monolog Dalaman

I'm bored, everyday my owner never lemme out. He juz came, gimme food,comb my hair and change the water.

I dun have any frenz, nor any handsome guy (rabbit) to accompany me. Sometime only the cat keep entertained me, but now she also bz with her kids (kittens).

I hate it to be alone, i hate u mr owner cz dun gimme my right as a rabbit..huu...huu....and now it is very noise around here cz d house is being renovate.

Hmmmmm....pasal nak jantan sekor lagi tue kena pikir2 dulu.......xdak doit la nak bli sekor lagi,mak pon xsuka bli rabbit lain, kang bertambah zuriat kat umah nie. Anak kocing dah ada, nnt tambah anak rabbit pulak.

Dun hate me rabbit chan, i know ur right as a rabbit, but gimme time to find other safe+good house for u. i'll try to find people who are willing to adopt u for a few month.
